Originally released into cultivation as microsperma X staudtii, reclassified as U690 in 2021. This striking begonia makes a great terrarium specimen due to its relatively compact form. A corrugated texture with bold colouration on saucer-shaped leaves. As with most African species, these flower yellow, but are very hard to hybridise. A must have.
