Begonia darthvaderiana
A true unicorn, known for its unparalleled beauty as much as its challenging nature. These are not for the faint hearted. The key to growing these successfully is consistency - without this, the plant will turn very quickly; but with it, it is a remarkably wonderful plant to enjoy.
Light levels should remain constant, temperature ideal is 21-23c (over 27c will see rapid leaf melt). They are a hungry plant and should be fed regularly. They naturally seem to prefer a lower pH than most other Begonias, so many people grow theirs in sphagnum or a tree fern pot. We have also successfully grown them in our Begonia Blend and Fluval Stratum.
Please note that you may not receive the exact plant shown in the photo, but you will receive one of similar sizing.
